06 — Trading

Sea
moss

Eucheuma / Kappaphycus

Dried Tanzanian sea moss, graded and baled on the coast, then containerised and exported through Dar es Salaam.

Tanzania's coastal waters produce some of the cleanest farmed red seaweed in the Indian Ocean. FLM Group buys it dried from the farming communities, grades and bales it, and moves it into export containers.

Because we are a clearing and forwarding agent first, the whole chain sits with one team — grading, fumigation, container stuffing, documentation, customs and haulage to the quay.

Sourcing & grading

Container inspection

Every unit is checked clean and dry before loading — a wet floor or a damaged seal ruins a consignment.

Fumigation

Containers are treated and sealed to meet the destination market's phytosanitary requirements.
